On the morning of this Saturday 9th of Jumada Ula 1439 AH corresponding to January 27, 2018 Victory Festival was held by the Medical Corps of the Fighting Squad of al-Abbas (peace be upon him) under the slogan " by the martyrs' blood the victory is achieved" in the Hall of Imam al-Hassan (peace be upon him) for conferences.
The festival was a reminder of the martyr; the hero "Mohammad Radi Badr al-Jabouri" one of the members of the Medical Corps and in honor of the efforts of the Medical Corps of the al-Abbas's (p) Fighting Squad, starting with the recitation of verses of the Holy Quran and reading al-Fatihah in memory of the martyrs, followed by the national anthem and the anthem of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine "Melody of Pride". Then there was the word of the Holy Shrine, which was delivered by its Secretary-General, Engineer Mohammed Al-Ashigar in which he stated:" In order to build a strong army, it must be accompanied by a strong military medical Corps that is well trained guarding the safety of its members in all circumstances, and it is an important factor of its steadfastness and preserving its military abilities, especially that experience has proven that the fighter remains the basis for achieving victory, despite the tremendous scientific and technical progress witnessed by our modern world in the field of weapons and military technology, as the brave fighter will have a better use of the advanced weapon than others.
The Iraqi Military Medical Corps has waged great and harsh experiences in the battles of the security forces and the heroic popular mobilization against the criminal ISIL gangs, revealing the authenticity and bravery of these cadres who made great sacrifices by treating the wounded and injured and preserve their lives and ease their pain. The Supreme Religious Authority issued a fatwa that has preserved the country. It has been proven to all by clear evidence that the military medical corps and the logistical support provided by the Husseini processions were one of the most important factors and supporters to the Mujahideen of our security forces and volunteers from the popular mobilization by giving them unrivalled resilience, and the achievements of the medical care level despite the lack of support gives us hope and pride.
We have witnessed the work of the brothers in several fields where we found them in the fighting fields and on the fronts along with their brothers; the fighters and we found them in the field hospitals and others, sparing no effort in carrying the duty and helping the wounded, as many doctors and paramedics were injured or killed during the holy duty, with bravery and great courage, such as the martyrdom of the brave martyr Mohammed Radhi al-Jabouri, may God have mercy on him. Congratulations to you my brothers for this blessed jihad action in order to protect the homeland and sanctities and honor. As we celebrate on this day this group of believers from the Mujahideen, we ask the almighty to accept the good deeds and have mercy on our martyrs, praying for the speedy recovery of our wounded and patience and fortitude for the martyrs' families. He is indeed The Hearer and The best Responsive."
Then came the word of the Medical Corps, delivered by Dr. Osama Abdel-Hassan, speaking about the history of the composition of the Abbas's (p) fighting squad and its role, achievements and sacrifices in the battles as well as the heroic positions of the paramedics of the Medical Corps and the role of the martyr; the hero (Mohammad Riyad al-Jabouri). Then a documentary film was displayed talking about the Medical Corps and its duty and images of the scenes experienced by the paramedics while accompanying the Knights of the fronts in the battles. Followed by the presentation of a film about the heroic martyr and his most prominent positions, which were documented by the image of the martyr Mohammed Riyad (may Allah have mercy on him).
Then the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has honored through its Secretary General the family of the late martyr. The ceremony was concluded by distributing shields and certificates of appreciation to the institutions that supported the military troops.
