The al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine participates in the third Karbala International Children's Book fair in the area between the two holy shrines.

The Childhood and Youth Division of the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine participated in the third Karbala International Children's Book Fair, which is organized by the Department of Childhood Care and Development at the Holy Shrine of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) in the area between the two Holy Shrines under the slogan "Together to read" for the period between the 10th and 17th of February 2018.

The fair, which was opened on Saturday evening (23 Jumada Ula 1439H) with the participation of four countries (Iraq, Lebanon, Kuwait and Iran) distributed to twenty pavilions including more than (1000) titles, including cultural, religious, educational and recreational topics and all related to the child, has also witnessed the participation of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine with a pavilion including more than forty titles.

Mr. Sarmad Saleb Hassan, the head of the Childhood and Youth Division, spoke to the al-Kafeel Network stating about this participation: "The Karbala International Children's Book Fair is an important event that highlights the children's book and is a remarkable step that contributes to the delivery of the book (children's book) to the hands of the children in our beloved Iraq. God bless the efforts of those who are working on this important cultural forum. "

He added: "This year's participation was with a variety of children's books inspired by the loyalty to the people of the House of Prophecy, peace be upon them, to reach our beloved children in all cities and countries. The 40 titles have been divided into different topics including stories with pictures, poesy books, scientific and cultural books, stories of prophets and the blessing biography of Ahl al-Bayt (Peace be upon them), inspired by the fragrance of the shrine of the Standard-bearer of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon them) to light the path of love and draw the corridors of peace for our dear children."

Mr. Sarmad explained the nature of this participation and the publications that were displayed in the pavilion, stating: "There are monthly magazines issued by the Division, such as the magazine (Al-Rayahin) for children aged between (5-12) years old, and the magazine (Haydara) for children aged between (13 - 17) years old, and these two magazines contain a set of cultural, scientific, Islamic, developmental and educational topics in addition to interactive topics and games to develop and educate the child."

Adding: "The publications of the Childhood and Youth Division have not only been published in Arabic, but have been translated into a number of languages ​​such as English, Turkish, Persian and Kurdish."
