Iranian clerics and scholars praise the role of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine in preserving heritage.

A number of religious scholars and specialists in the field of heritage in the Republic of Iran praised the role played by the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine in the field of preserving and reviving Islamic intellectual heritage, and working to highlight it and show it properly through research, investigation and printing, describing it as distinct and was able to achieve good results.

This came during the meetings held by the delegation of the Islamic and Human Knowledge Department of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, headed by the head of the department, Sheikh Ammar al-Hilali, with a number of clerics and scholars in the Republic of Iran. These meetings are aimed at opening horizons for cooperation and joint action, and highlighting the products of the holy shrine and what it has provided in this field.

His Eminence Sayed Jawad al-Shahristani, the absolute agent of the Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani, said: "The efforts of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine to explore the effects of our great scholars are commendable and the Foundation of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) for heritage of the Office of the Supreme Religious Authority and the rest of its thirty affiliated institutions, is in the service of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, and its doors are open for joint action."

As for His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Sheikh Lutf-Allah al-Safi, he said: "The cultural and intellectual enlightenment movement in Iraq in general and in the two holy shrines in particular is witnessing a great development thanks to your good efforts. This is a valuable opportunity that must be invested to highlight and disseminate the Islamic heritage on a large scale "He said.

His Eminence Sayed. Alawi Al-Burojerdi praised the achievements of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine and expressed his readiness to exchange the written copies and pictures, especially that Sayed. Al-Borujerdi's library contains more than 150.000 one hundred and fifty thousand manuscripts on various subjects. Stressing on giving interest to the achievement of manuscripts which will preserve what was hidden from our rich Islamic heritage.

After the scientific tour which was conducted by the delegation of Islamic and Human Knowledge Department at the Manuscript Foundation, which is concerned with the preservation and indexing of manuscripts and the identification of the most important future projects that will facilitate the search of all manuscript catalogs in the world, Sayed. Mojtaba Mojani stressed the full cooperation between the manuscript institution and the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine in various fields.

It is to note that the visit aims to open channels of cooperation and joint action, to see the publications of the institutions visited by the delegation, and to find the mechanisms of joint work between the two parties in the interest of each of them, on the one hand, and on the other to introduce the work of the Department and the intellectual and cultural activities it provides in various fields in which it is specialized.
