The General Secretariats of the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and of al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) organize solemn decrees for a symbolic funeral for the martyrs of the security forces and the popular mobilization.

Under the patronage of the General Secretariats of the two holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and of al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) and with the participation of the leadership of the operations of the Middle Euphrates and the leadership of the popular mobilization, the Department of rituals and Hussayni processions organized on Saturday afternoon the 7th of Jumada II 1439 AH, corresponding to February 24, 2018, a symbolic funeral for the martyrs of Iraq whose blood quenched its land, and pushed away the danger of the terrorist gangs of ISIL by dropping all the schemes that wanted to destroy the country cradle of civilizations and messages.

The symbolic funeral started from the Qibla road of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) in form of groups carrying the flags of Iraq and the brigades' flags of the popular mobilization, preceded by a symbolic coffin of the martyr, walking on the funerary sound towards the area between the two holy shrines, to stand in memory of the martyrs by the presence of the Senior Official of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine; Sayed Ahmad al-Safi and the two General Secretaries of the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and of al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them), the governor of Karbala and a number of the leaders of the popular mobilization.

After reciting verses from the Holy Quran and reading Surah Al-Fatiha in memory of the martyrs of Iraq and the popular mobilization, there was a speech of the General Secretaries of the two holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and of al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them), delivered by the Secretary-General of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, Eng. Mohamad Al-Ashigar, in which he said: "Congratulations to all those who participated, contributed and made a sacrifice under the banner of Iraq and under the shadow of this fatwa for the defense of his land, his honor and sanctities and congratulations to their parents and their children for this lofty honor to be following the example of the Infallible imams (peace be upon them)..."

This was followed by a speech of the popular mobilization body, which was delivered by its media official in the holy province of Karbala, Mr. Maitham Al-Atabi, in which he said: "The real honor and celebration is that these families, which made the greatest sacrifices, live a decent life without having to ask anybody, as thanks to their sacrifices we are able to live in peace, and we should learn from them lessons of patience and endurance... "

Followed by the speech of the head of the rituals and Hussayni processions Department; Haj Riyadh Ni'mah al-Salman in which he stated: "Today, a symbolic funeral ceremony for the martyrs of the security forces and the popular mobilization is held in this holy place that has the special advantage of being the land of martyrdom of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) in his fight against the criminals who wanted to obliterate the features of religion and extinguish the light of prophecy in the eternal tragedy of al-Taf, in which blood beat the sword and Karbala remained the beacon to be followed."

He added: "After more than 1,400 years, criminals have returned to the nation to corrupt and destroy plowing and offspring, and in difficult circumstances the advisory fatwa came to change the course of modern history and stop the plot of regional and global powers, causing a great earthquake that made the world wake up and pay attention to the real danger, and thus the fatwa has achieved its goals. So, all thanks and appreciation to the attendance and our prayers go to our dear martyrs and wish for the speedy recovery of the wounded and shame to the enemies of Iraq. "

These decrees were accompanied by the presentation of poems and Hussainian passages.
