And to commemorate her death anniversary, which coincides with Friday 13th of Jumada Thaniya, the servants of the two holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and of al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) walked in a solemn procession to extend the condolences to the supporter of his brother Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), the commander of his army and the carer of his children; Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), chanting: All condolences to you O Master O Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas in this sad day.
This condolence event is a custom known to the employees of the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and of al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) to revive particularly this occasion, as it is customary to commemorate the martyrdom anniversaries of the Imams (peace be upon them) with the departure of a condolence procession from the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine towards the shrine of Aba Abdillah al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) But on the anniversary of the death of Om al-Baneen (peace be upon her), the custom is different. The servants of the holy shrine of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) are the ones walking in a great procession to be received by the servants of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) in his holy shrine.
Then a unified condolence council is held with reciting condolence poems and elegies that show the status and the place of this sincere historical figure that has spent her whole life in the service of al-Hassan and al-Hussayn (peace be upon both of them) the masters of youth of paradise, and educating her own children to be servants of their masters. There is no women like her in history, who was loyal in the service of her husband's children, offering her own sons as a sacrifice to redeem them. She was considering this as a religious duty towards the beloved grandsons of the Messenger of Allah (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household), and through her knowledge of the true right of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), she had made what no other women could make to serve them in the best way.
It is worth mentioning that Om al-Baneen (peace be upon her) after her service to the Commander of the Faithful Imam Ali his two sons Imam al-Hassan and Imam al-Hussayn and his daughter Zaynab Al-Kubra (peace be upon them all) and after a blessed life that she used in the true worship of God and after long sorrow for the loss of the guardians of God Almighty, the martyrdom of Imam Ali Ibn Abi Taleb in his Mihrab, his son al-Hassan poisoned, and the martyrdom of her four sons at the same hour to redeem the beloved grandson of the Holy Prophet Imam al-Hussayn (Allah's prayers be upon them all). After that, her painful death was on the thirteenth of Jumada al-Thaniyah in the year 64 AH, and she was buried in the cemetery of al-Baqi' near Ibrahim, Zainab, Om Kulthum, Abdullah, al-Qasim and other companions and martyrs. Her tomb was demolished by al-Nawasib along with the tombs of the imams of the Prophet's family (peace be upon them).
Peace be upon this pure, venerable, faithful woman, who has followed the footsteps of the Lady of the Worlds' Women; Fatima az-Zahra (peace be upon her), and congratulations to her and to all believing women who have followed her example.
