To coincide with the auspicious birth anniversary of the Lad of the world's women Lady Fatima az-Zahra (peace be upon her) and in continuation of the series of the important Quranic Projects, the Center for Quranic Projects of the Holy Quran Institute at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine launched the "Throne of the Recitation" Project, which aims at benefiting from the great Qur'anic experiences and energies that exist in Iraq and showing and highlighting them to the Islamic world.

The ceremony was held in the sanctuary of Aba al-Fadl al Abbas (peace be upon him) and in the presence of the Secretary-General of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, Eng. Mohammed al-Ashigar, a number of its Board of Directors members and heads of its departments, as well as a group of visitors.

The ceremony was started by reciting verses from the Holy Quran, in the Iraqi way by the sheikh of the Iraqi readers -This title was given to him by the Institute of the Holy Quran - the reader and the Hafedh Muhammad Hussein al-Shami.

Secretary-General of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has stated in his speech, after congratulating the audience on this blessed anniversary, that "the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has been interested in many projects that serve the community and religion and the doctrine in particular. Among these projects we mention Quranic projects through the Institute of the Holy Quran at the holy shrine, Where many activities are held throughout the year, including this blessed project, which we are about to open, and in which Sheikh al-Shami will be honored, as he is considered an Iraqi competency and reference for readers in Iraq, and we pray God to extend his life so he can be a servant of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and for the Holy Quran."

It was followed by the word of the Institute of the Holy Quran delivered by its director; Sheikh Jawad al-Nasrawi, in which he said: "It is nice to honor a great reader and open a Quranic project in the birth anniversary of the virtuous Lady Fatima az-Zahra (peace be upon her). And the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine was very much concerned with Quranic projects, such as the project of the prince of readers, which is characterized by dedicating a school for the recitation on the Iraqi way, which is the method of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), which was called the school of (Hafedh Khalil Ismail) Dean of the Iraqi way. Thus this recitation was revived through this school, from which a group of students have graduated and in many forums in some countries, this recitation method was greatly appreciated."

Stressing that: "The al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine gave great attention to the energies of Iraq so that it devoted a special conference to honor these energies; the conference for inventors and innovators in all energies and disciplines, and today, in the Quranic area we celebrate and honor our Sheikh al-Shami and the holy shrine paid great attention to him to what he represents of the heritage in this field, as he is the dean of the Iraqi school, and he is our source of pride."

Followed by a wonderful recitation in the Iraqi way by the reader Mustafa Al-Silawi one of the students of the national project of the prince of Readers held by the Center of Quranic projects, followed by a beautiful recitation of the reader Ahmad Jamal, one of the students of the professional course within the national project for the preparation of readers in Iraq, which is also held by the Center.

At the end of the ceremony, Sheikh Muhammed Hussein al-Shami was given the title (Sheikh of readers in Iraq), and then he said: "The inspiration that I saw in Karbala and in the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine especially, is not seen in all Iraqi citizens, while I see in the hearts of their young people the love of the Holy Quran, I am honored to be known as the Sheikh of readers and I thank the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, the Institute of the Holy Quran and the Center for Quranic Projects for this beautiful and great initiative.
