Karbala Heritage Center holds an extensive scientific research symposium on the heritage of the holy city of Karbala.

The al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine represented by the Karbala Heritage Center of the Department of Islamic and Human Knowledge Affairs has in cooperation with the university of Kufa on Friday 5th of Rajab 1439 AH corresponding to March 23, 2018, an extensive research symposium under the slogan: "Karbala Heritage with Academic view", in the presence of the Secretary General of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine Sayed. Muhammad al-Ashigar and a number of academics specialized in the Iraqi heritage, especially the heritage of the holy city of Karbala and university students. The symposium started by reciting verses from the Holy Quran and reading Surat al-Fatihah in memory of the martyrs of Iraq from the security forces and the popular mobilization, and then the national anthem was played followed by the anthem of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine "Tune of Pride".

Then the advisor of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine; Engineer Talal al-Beer gave his speech on the importance of the heritage in granting people identity as well as social, artistic, scientific and educational value, stating that it is the main component of the civilization. Indicating that this symposium is a realistic proof of the interest and love of the human heritage, and the researches will be in the service of the homeland. Calling at the same time all people to preserve and protect the heritage of the nation, and urging the participant in this symposium to enrich it by the constructive discussion aiming at raising the level of scientific research.

Then Dr. Mohsen al-'Abadi, Assistant President of the University of Kufa for Scientific Affairs, has presented his speech in which he highlighted the importance of the joint cooperation and continuous collaboration between Kufa University and the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine.

Then the research session of the symposium was opened, chaired by Prof. Dr. Ali Hajji and Dr. Falah Rasool al-Husayni as a reporter, including six research:

The first research: Dr. Zaman Obaid Wanas al-Mamouri from the University of Karbala, Faculty of Education for Human Sciences, and the title of his research (paperwork in Karbala until the 13th century AH).

The second research: Prof. Dr. Salman Hadi Al-Ta'ma - Islamic University of Lebanon, entitled "The Poetic Heritage of Sheikh Mohammad Taqi al-Tabari Al-Haeri. Study and Investigation".

Third research: Dr. Murtada Abdul Nabi Al-Shawi - University of Kufa / College of Fiqh and the title of his research (Sheikh Abu Al-Mahasin Karbalai: brief biography and a reading in his poetry).

Fourth research: Dr. Hana Hussein Alwan - University of Kufa - College of Fiqh, and the title of her research (Heritage al-Haeri in the book of the Dhari'a).

Fifth Research: Dr. Ali Jaafar Mohammed - University of Kufa - College of Fiqh, and the title of his research (Sheikh Abdul Nabi Al-Jazairi approach in his book: Hawi al-Aqwal).

The sixth research: Dr. Hajar Dwir - University of Kufa / Faculty of Education, and the title of her research (speech research in the heritage of Sheikh Mohammed Mahdi Naraki. Book: Jami' al-Afkar and Naqed al-Andhar model).

It is worth mentioning that 24 researches from different Iraqi universities participated in the symposium. And at the end, shields and certificates of appreciation were distributed to researchers and participants.
