The al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine holds a ceremony honoring 1300 students of the distinguished middle school students in al-Muthanna province.

Under the patronage of the General Secretariat of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, Al-Murtada Center for Culture and Guidance held the annual Central Ceremony to honor distinguished students of middle schools of Al-Rumaitha district and its surrounding in Al-Muthanna province, as the holy shrine believe in the necessity of supporting the educational project in Iraq and encouraging outstanding students to continue their success, which enhance their confidence in their scientific career.

The ceremony started with a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and then reading Surat al-Fatiha in memory of the martyrs of Iraq. Then the national anthem was played followed by the anthem of the al-Abbas's (p) shrine "Pride tune". The Sheikh Mohamad al-Kriti delivered the speech of the General Secretariat of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine encouraging the students to continue their effort to be distinguished in all what they do to build up their future and then praying for them to be able to bear the banner of science, ethics and religion and become good leaders in the future.

Also, many officials in the field of education in the province and in the holy shrine, have praised the efforts of the students stressing that they are the pillars and leaders of the future, and the success of Iraq is linked to their success.

The ceremony was concluded by displaying a documentary film entitled "A story of Jihad" and then distributing appreciation certificates to the distinguished students and many of the participants in the event, provided by the General Secretariat of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine.
