Launching Book Fair in Karbala

Sunday 24 of June book and CDs fair launched in the holy city of Karbala which is one of Rabaee al Shahada festival activities. The general secretary of al Abbas holy shrine Sayed Ahmad al Safi, associates from the holy shrines, academic figures and many visitors shared the meeting of launching.

The fair established in the holy courtyard of lady Zainab shrine near imam Hussein holy shrine. More than 125 foundations from inside and outside of Iraq shared the meeting from 10 states Arab and others.

More than 60 thousands titles in Arabic, English and German languages participated the fair.

Al Sayed Alsafi said "The fair is cultural one. Book has great role in our society. The book to be bought is less than the previous time due to new technology, even that books have especial sense in reading".

Muyaser al Hakim, member of Preparatory Committee announced to Alkafeel "One of the cultural and Media side to Rabaee al Shahada Festival is the book fair, where many cultural, religious, academic and literary titles are shared the fair".

Added "There is a special part in the fair for kids, and also there are books about women. Many other books about theater, art, writing, translation, and maps. Moreover there are encyclopedias in draw, and Islamic decorations. In addition there are moral stories in many languages.

Each day the fair starts from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm and 4:30 pm to 10 pm the time is flexible.
