The Department of Rituals, processions and Hussayni Bodies prevents its representatives in the provinces to promote elections' candidates.

The Department of Rituals, processions and Hussayni Bodies in Iraq and the Islamic world of the two holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and of al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) issued an official document to the officials of its representations and units in the Iraqi provinces to prevent the promotion of any elections' candidate or political entity, stressing that the department is an independent body that works to only revive and organize the Hussayni rituals.

And this is the text of the official letter:

To all officials of the representations and units.

It is absolutely forbidden to promote any electoral entity or individual candidate or publish a picture and posters or promote for him or for others. We are an independent body that only work to revive the Hussayni rituals exclusively. As we are not against anyone and with no one. And he who acts contrary to this will expose himself to legal accountability.
