The al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine honors the winners of Quranic competitions from its Quranic Women's Institute.

The al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine honored the winners of Quranic competitions from its Quranic Women's Institute of the Department of Islamic and Human Knowledge, who received advanced grades in memorization, recitation and interpretation, which were held in the holy shrines and other Quranic institutions, to praise their efforts and the efforts of their teachers and to encourage then to expand their local and international participations and get higher rankings.

The honoring ceremony was held in the hall of Imam al-Hassan (peace be upon him) in the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, and after the recitation of verses of the Holy Quran and reading Surat al-Fatiha in memory of the martyrs of Iraq, there was a speech of Sayed Adnan al-Mosawi in the Department of Religious Affairs in which he congratulated the winners commending the efforts harnessed by the teachers in the Quranic Women Institute to create an aware generation of Quran, indicating the need to stick to the book of the Almighty God, inviting the winners to exert more efforts to continue learning, understanding and applying the teachings of the Holy Quran.

This was followed by a Quranic activity of the students of the Kindergarten of Ahbab AlKafeel of the Institute of the Holy Quran in Najaf. The ceremony was concluded by honoring the winners of the competitions as follows:

- Second in the Tajweed contest: Iman Nasr al-Din Qasem.

- First in the memorization of the whole Quran held by the Center of the Quran Sciences of the Shiite Endowment: Khulud Baqer Abd al-Amir.

- First in the memorization of ten Juz' of the Holy Quran: Maryam Ahmad Sadeq. (The thousand [Quran] memorizers Contest held by the holy shrine of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him))

- First in the memorization of twenty Juz' of the Holy Quran: Kulud Baqer Abd al-Amir. (The thousand [Quran] memorizers Contest held by the holy shrine of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him)).

- Third in the memorization of twenty Juz' of the Holy Quran: Radiyya Aboud Abbas. (The thousand [Quran] memorizers Contest held by the holy shrine of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him)).

Winners of the national women contest of the Holy Quran held by the holy shrine of Imam Ali (peace be upon him):

- First in the memorization of the whole Holy Quran: Hawra Mohamad Husayn.

- Second in the memorization of fifteen Juz': Zahra Hussayn Abd al-Sahib.

- First in the memorization of ten Juz': Mariam Ahmad Sadeq.

- Second in the memorization of ten Juz': Zaynab Mojed Saheb.

- Third in the memorization of ten Juz': Doha Husayn Helo.

- Second in the interpretation of the Holy Quran: Faten Sattar Kadhem.

- First in the recitation of the Holy Quran: Hawra Amer Yasin.

- Second in the recitation of the Holy Quran: Afra Hanoon Sultan.

Also, during the ceremony, the teachers in the administrative and scientific committee of the Institute were honored.
