Parts of the dome of Aba Al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), which was attacked by the former regime.

In such days of the great month of Sha'ban, we recall the brutal Saddam attack in 1991 on the holy shrines of the Master of the martyrs and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them), targeting the two holy domes, the minarets, the gates and walls of the holy shrines by and air strikes, resulting the destruction and damage in the walls and a hole in the dome of the holy shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him).

The AlKafeel Museum for treasures and manuscripts of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine was keen to display the most important parts that were subjected to the barbaric assault by the mercenaries of the former regime during the uprising of the Sha'ban. It displays parts of the dome of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl (peace be upon him) and parts of walls and doors that were bombed, showing the effects of this brutal attack on them to remain evidence of this dark era, which did not respect the sanctities and did not respect the sanctity of the house of the Prophet (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household).

The importance of these evidence is that it represents the highest degree of religious and spiritual symbolism among the people of Karbala, and the followers of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) around the globe, which was unjustly attacked without respecting its sanctity.

It is noteworthy that the AlKafeel Museum for the treasures and manuscripts of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine is one of the first museums that opened in the holy shrines of Iraq in 2009, and continues to display its belongings to visitors of the holy shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him).
