The al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine honors a new group of the families of martyrs of the popular mobilization and confirms its continuation in this project.

In continuation of its initiatives to honor the families of the martyrs of the popular mobilization who have sacrificed their blood in order to liberate the land of Iraq and protect its sanctities from the desecration of the terrorist ISIL gangs when they responded to the call of the nation and the supreme religious authority, in order to alleviate their burdens and suffering, the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine held an honoring ceremony for the third time in the province of Maysan following a timetable and a program prepared for this purpose by the religious affairs department since the launch of the Fatwa of Defense.

The ceremony was held for 150 families at the orphanage in Maysan province, to distribute a symbolic sum of money as well as a food basket for each of them.

During the ceremony, the representative of the religious authority in the province, Sheikh Ahmed Maktaf delivered a speech followed by the word of the head of the religious affairs department of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine and the official of its delegation, Sheikh Salah Karbalai.

For their part, the families of the martyrs praised this initiative that encourages them to continue to sacrifice and fight until the elimination of the terrorist ISIL organization.
