Al-Kafeel Academy for Training and Military Rescue celebrates the occasion of its two years since its foundation.

The Division of Al-Kafeel Academy for Training and Military Rescue at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine celebrated the occasion of the two-year anniversary of its founding by holding a celebration on Sunday 26th of Sha'ban 1439 AH corresponding to May 13, 2018 in the Hall of Imam al-Hassan (peace be upon him).

The celebration began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran then reading the Surat Al-Fatihah in memory of the martyrs of Iraq, followed by the Iraqi national anthem and the anthem of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine "Pride's Tune".

Followed by the speech of the General Secretariat of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine delivered by Sheikh 'Aqeel al-Shabki from the Department of Religious Affairs.

Then, the word of medical supervisor of the al-Kafeel Academy of Military Training and Rescue; Dr. Osama Abd al-Hasan, explained: "This blessed month represents for us the anniversary of the establishment of the Academy, by the blessings of our master Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) and the attention of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine and the custodians of this academy which was the result of the Fatwa and was a place to train the security forces and popular mobilization over two years. We have trained more than 700 trainees in actual courses and more than 2000 trainees in field courses. We have paid great attention to the development of military paramedics’ skills by signing a contract with the European Academy by the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine. "

Followed by a speech by the Director of the Academy Mr. Mortadha Al-Ghalbi, and then the ceremony included a part in which the wounded (the living martyrs) rescued by the Academy's paramedics, explaining how they were injured and how they were rescued. There was also a video speech of the European Security Academy delivered by its Polish Director; Mr. Bart Bell.

The ceremony witnessed the presentation of five researches that were as follows:

The first research: (scientific sources of training programs) by Dr. Ibrahim Abu Tahin.

The second research: (Technical and practical approach to the programs of military rescue) by Coach Qassem Karim.

The third research: (wounds injuries) by Dr. Osama Abdel Hassan.

The fourth research: (a summary of the military ambulance courses held by the Academy) by Dr. Abbas Hussein.

Fifth research: (the unit of weapons and special methods and its link with the military paramedic) by Coach Ahmed Al-Ashour.

The ceremony included a short film about the martyrs of the academy, who sacrificed themselves to help their brothers from the security forces and the popular mobilization, and the opening of a photo exhibition showing the efforts of the academy in the aid of security forces and the popular mobilization forces during the fighting.

The ceremony concluded by honoring the wounded and distributing shields and certificates of appreciation to the participants in the ceremony.
