The Department of Religious Affairs at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine performs more than 400 marriage contracts during the month of Sha'ban.

The Department of Religious Affairs in the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine for the completion of more than 400 marriage contract during the month of Sha'ban, especially during the days of celebration of the birth anniversaries of the holy month of Sha'ban up to the birth anniversary of the savior of mankind Imam al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his holy reappearance), and The contracts are conducted within the framework of the legitimate work of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, along with prayers for the couples at the beginning of their married life and start a happy married life with the blessings of the Moon of Bani Hashem Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) in these blessed days.

Sheikh Salah al-Karbalai, head of the religious affairs department of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, informed us of the increasing demand for marriage contracts in this holy month. He said: "The legal contracts in the Division of Marriage Contracts of the department are continuous throughout the year except for the months of Muharram and Safar, with increasing demand during the occasions of the birth of imams (peace be upon them) or religious occasions, and the holy month of Sha'ban is full of these occasions, therefore the believers are rushing to make their legitimate marriage contracts in the holy shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), because its great sanctity, and also because the Religious Affairs Department registers it officially, as it is recognized by the competent Iraqi courts, and the contract is made in a holy place recalling the happy occasion."

He added: "The contracts in this month and this particular year witnessed a marked increase from the rest of the other years, because Iraq is celebrating the victory over the terrorist ISIL gangs. And this year, this increased in the holy month of Sha'ban because of the auspicious birth anniversaries of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), seeking the blessings of these days of joys of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them)."

Indicating: "The Contract Division begins to receive the couples willing to register their marriages since the morning hours. Most of them have postponed contracting their marriage to this blessed month, even people coming from provinces outside the holy city of Karbala. The role of the division is also to give the couples advices and guidance about the marriage life, according to the teachings of the Islamic religion and the approach of the imams of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).
