A poetic evening to celebrate the birth anniversary of Imam al-Hassan (peace be upon him) within the festival in Hilla.

A poetic evening was held to conclude the activities of the second day of the annual central festival for the birth anniversary of Imam al-Hassan (peace be upon him) held under the slogan: "Imam al-Hassan (peace be upon him) the savior of Muslims and the detector of hypocrites" in the Maqam of the miracle of the Return of Sun to Imam Ali (peace be upon him) in Hilla city.

The evening began by the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran then reading Surat al-Fatiha in memory of the martyrs, followed by a welcoming word by Mr. Mohamad Hussain 'Abboud.

Chanting groups from the provinces of Baghdad, Waset, Hilla, Nasiriyah, Samawa and Najaf have sang poems about the auspicious birth anniversary of the grandson of the Holy Prophet (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household).

Then the poets delivered their poems about the love of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and recalling the martyrs whose blood shed for this country. The poet Zayn al-'Abideen al-Sa'idi from Karbala started then the poet Husam al-Hamzawi from Babylon, then the poet Mohamad al-Taleb from Karbala, then Mohamad al-Fatemi from Babylon and finally the poet Mohamad al-A'ajibi from al-Rumaytha city, followed by the Radood Ra'ed al-Fatlawi.
