The al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine implements its program to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) and the holy nights of Qadr.

The general program prepared by the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine for the holy month of Ramadhan included a number of special activities to commemorate a number of occasions, including the martyrdom of Imam Ali (peace be upon him), which coincides with the revival of the holy nights of Qadr [Decree].

The commemoration of this sad anniversary; the wound of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) and the first night of Qadr, will start from today up to the eve of the twenty-third of the holy month of Ramadhan.

The al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine will organize a number of activities that are suitable for the revival of these great days and will harness all its potential to create and provide an ideal atmosphere for the performance of the Ziyarat and prayers rituals.

There will be also lectures and religious and cultural activities about the importance of these days of the holy month of Ramadhan, in addition to preparing a media plan to be implemented by the staff of the holy shrine to broadcast live these rituals through a free frequency provided to the satellite channels.

As for the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali (peace be upon him), there will various condolences activities, such as holding a condolence Majlis in the holy shrine, a unified condolence procession of the two holy shrines, contributing to the revival of the Ziyarat rituals in the holy shrine of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) in Najaf, and being ready to receive the condolence processions that will come to extend their condolences to Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them).
