The Engineering Maintenance Department at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine contributes to the establishment of a water station to provide the Hussayni processions on the road of "Ya Hussayn" with water.

With the funding of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine and in cooperation with the technical staff of the holy shrine of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) and the Directorate of Water in the province of Karbala, the Engineering Maintenance Department at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine contributed to the establishment of a water station to provide water to the houses, Hussayni processions and the visitors' service complexes located on either side of "Ya Hussayn" between Najaf and Karbala.

According to the head of the engineering maintenance department at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine; Engineer Abbas Musa Ahmad said that this project falls within the series of projects of the holy shrine that are overseen by the technical and engineering staff in our department, aiming to deliver the drinking water to the road of "Ya Hussayn" and some of the service buildings such as the service processions, Hussaynyat, airport, butchery, visitors' cities, residents and universities, as well as the al-Abbas's (p) residential complex."

Adding: "We have carried out an objective disclosure of the project, then a study was prepared, and after the approval of the project, works started, starting by the infrastructure of the project, including the project ground by pouring the chemically treated concrete on an area of 1000 m2, as well as the establishment of water pipes and digging the channels according to the specifications adopted locally."

Indicating: "The water station will provide 200 m3/h, and the work is currently under way and has reached advanced stages, and after its completion, it will contribute to solving a major problem in these areas which suffer from drinking water scarcity and their suffering were doubled during the Ziyarat periods."
