A huge banner of condolence on the Qibla gate of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) to extend the condolences for the martyrdom anniversary of Imam as-Sadeq (peace be upon him).

To commemorate the tragic martyrdom of Imam Ja'far as-Sadeq (peace be upon him), a huge condolence banner was hung at the entrance of Qibla gate of the holy shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him). The banner is 28 m long and 6 m wide, on which was stitched in white the following expression "May Allah pray upon Ja'far son of Mohamad the proof of the Lord of the two worlds" and on its two sides it was stitched in green "Sadeq [truthful] in the saying" and " Sadeq in action".

On the other hand another condolence banner was hung on the gate of Imam al-Hassan (peace be upon him) overlooking the square between the two holy shrines, of 16 m length and 6 m width, on which it was stitched in green "Peace be upon you O Ja'far son of Mohamad as-Sadeq" under which it was stitched in white "O Sadeq [truthful] in the saying and action."

The al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine in all its inside and outside pavilions was covered with black declaring the state of mourning for the martyrdom anniversary of Imam as-Sadeq (peace be upon him) on the 25th of Shawwal. Blag banners were raised, red lamps were lit to honor this sad occasion and to extend the condolences to the Holy Prophet and Ahl al-Bayt (Allah's prayers be upon them all).

As usual, the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, has prepared a special condolence program including many condolence activities such as religious lectures and establishing condolence councils to commemorate this occasion. It also announced its readiness to receive the condolence processions from inside and outside the holy city of Karbala that comes to extend the condolence to Imam al-Hussayn and to his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) for this sad anniversary.
