Completion of the infrastructure works of the sanctuary of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him).

The technical staff working in the Projects and Engineering Maintenance Departments at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine completed all the infrastructure works of the sanctuary of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (Peace be upon him), in preparation for the installation of the new marble tiles, which will be starting rafter the completion recently of covering the inner side of the holy sanctuary.

The work of this project has passed by several stages. After that the necessary plans and all measurements were taken, including the construction of an integrated and new sewerage system for the drainage of the rainwater and the washing water to replace the old system. It was connected to the main discharge system of the Holy Shrine according to the sections of the project.

A channel was dug after removing the old cover to extend the pipes width of 90 cm and with a length that is parallel to the inner wall of the sanctuary, and on an area estimated at 433 m2 after that the level of drilling was determined according to the levels stated on the engineering plans, and the distribution of 40 fountains spread along the channels on certain levels, Then the pipes were extended, determining their inclination degree and avoiding any intersection that occurs with any other electrical or communication or other wires, then these pipes were buried according to measurements of the surface of the sanctuary and its covering works with marble.

It is to note that the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) has witnessed the implementation of a number of projects that have been developed according to specific spatial and temporal plans that are suitable for each project and its specificities, such as the project of horizontal expansion and the expansion of the sanctuary by roofing the Holy Shrine, in addition to covering the Iwans and construction of the basements, as well as the installation of the sanctuary's grid and other supporting systems of cooling, fire, alarm, communication and monitoring and other projects that cannot be mentioned, and recently there is another project that is no less important than the rest, namely Project covering the floor of the holy shrine with alabaster, which was installed since the seventies of the last century.
