Latest works in the Qibla Gate of the Shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him).

As part of the campaign of reconstruction and development underway in the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, which gives the beauty to this blessed edifice, and supplementing the project of expansion of the Sanctuary's gates of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), the works continue in the project of the Qibla gate of the holy shrine, which many technical and architectural features will make it the jewel of all gates. Recently, important stages of work have been accomplished, some of which became visible, and because it needs precision, professionalism and the durability of their implementation, the execution requires time, but in general, the work is in accordance with the plan and the timing and technical specifications set for it, according to the head of the projects department at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine; Engineer Diaa Majeed Al-sa'egh.

He added: "The Qibla Gate has great specificity in the hearts and minds of visitors of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) and this is what led us to pay special attention to it in comparison of other gates, which works also were carried out with high standards. There are works in which the two stages are integrated in order to accelerate their implementation, where we started the installation of the decorative marble pieces that are located under the arches of the entrance to the Qibla Gate, which are rectangular pieces decorated with vegetal motifs and drawings of great artistic connotations, in harmony with other similar inscriptions whether those covered by the streaky Kashi or others to create a state of symmetry."

Indicating: "The installation of the arches, which are based on the top of the pyramid of three main arches, framed by a pure golden frame, has been completed. It contains a decorative strip with a Qur'anic crown with Quranic verses. The top of this arch is joined by a golden frame that surrounds the inside of the gate. The works were repeated on both sides of the entrance, and these works were accompanied by other works, including covering the entrance of the gate from the inside with the streaky Kashi."

"The ceiling of the gate, which is itself an art masterpiece, has been completed by the installation of iron bases for the installation of Islamic architectural forms of inscriptions, Muqarnas and domes, which is an integrated network used the amounts of iron according to certain measurements to fit with what will be installed on it, taking into account other technical matters with the introduction of the installation of Muqarnas and dendrites, a large number of which has been installed to be directly cladded by Muqarnas and dendrites using the streaky Kashi Karbala'i that is decorated with a golden band according to design of each of them."
