Al-Abbas's (p) Fighting Squad bid farewell the first convoys of pilgrims.

After starting the implementation of security plan of the pilgrims' land road (Nukhayb-Arar). The fighters of the al-Abbas (p) Fighting Squad assigned to this duty, have bid farewell to the first pilgrims land convoys to the Holy Land. Their mobile detachments escorted them to a distance of more than 80 km, starting from the area of ​​Al-Faj until al-Nukhayb, in addition to securing this area through its continuous presence. This convoy took off pilgrims from the governorates of Muthanna, Maysan and Kirkuk.

On the other hand, the commander of operations of the Middle Euphrates, Major General Qais Khalaf Rahima al-Muhammadawi, praised the role played by the al-Abbas (p) fighting squad in preserving the security of the holy province of Karbala, starting with the first threats to the province until this moment. And its duty to secure and protect the pilgrims’ convoys but an evidence of its keenness to perform the duties entrusted to it to the fullest, and this is part of its heroic and courageous positions to maintain security and stability in the region in which it is located.

It is to note that the leadership of the al-Abbas's (p) fighting squad announced that it is implementing a plan to secure the road between Iraq and Saudi Arabia (Nukhayb - 'Ar'ar) by three brigades, including an armored brigade, after receiving the duty assigned by the Middle Euphrates Operations Command at the meeting last month at the headquarters of the squad.

And it should be noted that part of the forces of the Abbas's (p) Fighting Squad has held security in the Nukhayb area for three years under the supervision of the Middle Euphrates Operations Command without any case of a security breach.
