The Guidance and Support Committee at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine provides logistical and moral support to fighters stationed on the Syrian border.

The Guidance and Support Committee of the Religious Affairs Department at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine continues its inspection and support visits to the fighters of the security forces and the popular mobilization, despite the end of the fighting and the liberation of the entire occupied Iraqi territory. This time, the organized visit was to the fighters of the popular mobilization stationed on the Iraqi-Syrian border as well as some of the forces deployed in Sinjar district.

The visit is part of a series of ongoing visits and ongoing support by the Committee, which began its work from the first moment to launch the fatwa of the religious authority to defend Iraq and its holy sites. The visit included all the divisions and all the security forces from the army, police and popular mobilization.

Head of the visiting delegation, Sheikh Haidar al-Ardhi, briefed us on this tour, saying: "Based on the directives of the supreme religious authority to follow up the affairs of the fighters and to contribute to support them, a delegation from the Guidance and Support Committee visited the heroic fighters stationed on the Iraqi-Syrian borders, to provide the aids and the necessary logistic support as well as some gifts from the holy shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), which increases morale of the fighters. The visit included a number of brigades and divisions of the popular mobilization in this border line. The visit lasted for three days visiting almost 120 km to meet all forces stationed on this area."

He added: "We have found these heroes with a spirit of enthusiasm and courage, despite the difficulty of weather conditions and the lack of resources, but they vowed to ensure that the criminal gangs do not subjugate the land of Iraq. After liberating its lands thanks to the blood of their peers, they are now immune to anyone who’s thinking to tamper with the security and stability of this country. "

The fighters of the popular mobilization, in turn, praised the initiative of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine and its permanent presence on the battlefields or in the liberated areas, stressing at the same time that such initiatives will raise their morale and determination to remain steadfast against anyone who thinks of tampering with the security and stability of this country.

It is to note that the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine is keen to send convoys of food and in-kind aid to all divisions of military operations in support of the security forces and the popular mobilization heroes, in addition to the formation of a special committee to honor the families of their martyrs and follow-up cases of their wounded.
