Closing ceremony of the Second Cultural al-Qamar Forum

On Tuesday afternoon the 24th of Dhu al-Qi'dah 1439 AH corresponding to August 7, 2018, the Second Cultural al-Qamar Forum was concluded. Al-Qamar Forum is a cultural, educational and developmental activity aimed at improving the cultural level of the Iraqi people. The Forum is organized by the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine with the participation of more than (150) participants from the province of Babylon of Academicians, teachers and students in coordination with the agents of the religious authority in the province.

The closing ceremony was held in the Central Hall of the al-'Ameed University. After reciting verses from the Holy Quran and reading Surat Al-Fatihah in memory of the martyrs of Iraq, there was a speech by the General Secretariat of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, delivered by Sayed Mohamad al-Musawi from the Department of Religious Affairs, who called the participants to benefit from this forum so as to contribute to the building of a reformist, leadership and missionary generation.

This was followed by the word of the organizer of this event - the intellectual and cultural affairs department at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine - delivered by the Deputy Head of the Department Sayed. 'Aqeel Abd-Hussein al-Yasiri, in which he stated: "The servants of Aba al-Fadl al Abbas (peace be upon him) strive to provide the best services to visitors, Services that have begun to expand to include many aspects to not be limited to the services provided directly to the visitor, but there are centers and academic and cultural institutions and research centers working day and night to provide services that contribute to the education and immunization of the community."

The participants also had a word of thanks and gratitude for the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine presented by Mr. Ahmed Nayef.

The ceremony included a presentation of a poem in addition to honoring the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine by the participants. The ceremony was concluded by distributing certificates of appreciation to the participants.
