Within the framework of its program to commemorate the calamity of the martyrdom of Imam Mohammad al-Jawad (peace be upon him), which afflicted the Muslims in general and the Prophet's House in particular in the year 220 AH, the General Secretariat of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has established a council of condolences for two consecutive days for its staff in the Protocol hall, which is a tradition to commemorate and recall the grief of Ahl al-Bayt (Allah's prayers be upon them).
The council included during its first day a religious lecture presented by Sayed Ahmad al-Musawi followed by a lamentation, on the second day, the religious lecture was presented by Sayed Adnan al-Musawi and was concluded by an elegy. Both preachers are from the religious affairs department of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine.
The lamentations and elegies highlighted the details of the painful martyrdom and grievance of Imam al-Jawad (peace be upon him) and how he was killed poisoned and thirsty, and his martyrdom's connection with the martyrdom of his grandfather, the Master of martyrs (peace be upon him).
