The start of the preparatory work for cladding the gates of the holy sanctuary of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him).

In parallel with the cladding works currently underway in the holy sanctuary of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), the technical and engineering staffs of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine began the preparatory works for its gates (the ancient areas adjacent to the sanctuary), in preparation for cladding them so all the cladding works of the holy sanctuary complete simultaneously, taking in account the special measurements taken in advance and with a smoothness compatible with measurements of cladding.

The gates are completed from the outside within the expansion project of the gates of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine. The interior parts including the old gates connected to the holy sanctuary have remained intact. Thus, the renovation works and the removal of the old cladding started by the extension of the network of the main systems that were erected in the sanctuary to be completed and ready for starting the cladding of its floor according to certain measurements and levels that do not affect the movement of visitors. The works started first at the gate of Imam Ali al-Hadi (peace be upon him), located in the eastern corner of the northern part of the holy sanctuary.

It is worth mentioning that the first stage of the work of the holy sanctuary was completed in advance, which included the Iwans with the floors and the inner walls beneath the area covered with Kashi Karbala'i.
