The Department of Engineering Maintenance at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine begins the establishment of an additional building of boarding sections for the female students in the al-'Ameed University.

In preparation for the new academic year and in order to accommodate as many female students as possible by creating an appropriate learning environment and providing safe and appropriate housing for them, the Engineering Maintenance Department at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has started within its series of projects, the construction of a new building for the boarding departments of the female students of the al-Ameed University of the Department of Education and Higher Education in the holy shrine.

According to the head of the engineering maintenance department, Eng. Abbas Mousa: "The building is located within the campus, is built on an area of (1113) square meters to accommodate more than (144) students, and will be equipped with all the necessary needs for its residents from suites and bedrooms that are equipped with all furniture and supplies for students. In addition to reading halls, dining halls, a large kitchen and an integrated sanitary complex with all services. It is hoped that the works will be completed before the start of the next school year and will be ready to receive students."

The Presidency of the University stated: "This project is one of the first concerns of the al-'Ameed University, coinciding with the approaching date of the students' registration for the new academic year. The University received large numbers of students from the Iraqi provinces last year, who need accommodation, so the university decided to provide an appropriate boarding school to accommodate the students so that they will not be bothered to search for accommodation outside their university. It will be free of charge as it will be included in the studies fees of students."
