Therefore each year we hold this deliberative and consultative meeting with the owners and representatives of the processions and the Hussayni bodies in the holy province of Karbala and representatives of the local government in the province, in order to achieve the best results in the revival of these timeless Hussayni rituals and to show them to the world in the best possible way, which is possible only by concerted and united efforts of all. We discuss all matters related to the revival of this occasion in the capital of the Hussayni rituals; Karbala to preserve this identity. And the department of rituals is here to supervise the joint efforts so we can show these rituals as appropriate, as they are inspired from the principles and renaissance of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).
This was followed by the speech of the Department of Hussayni rituals and processions delivered by the Assistant Head of the Department, Haj Mazen al-Wazni, in which he stressed: "The necessity of adhering to the instructions and directives that will preserve the smooth flow of rituals and the movement of processions and other mourning activities. The processions' owners have to embody the principles of the upraising of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) in reviving the memory of his martyrdom. We hope to abide by the Sharia and instructions directed by our supreme religious authority to adhere to the Hussayni rituals, not to override public property and to respect the visitors."
