Among the stories of the martyrs of the epic victory over ISIS: The martyr Sayed Wissam Sharif al-Musawi.

The civilized peoples are usually proud of their heroes who are immortalized by history, and their stories are narrated to generations and books are composed about them, to be an example to be followed.

And as an extension of the glorious heroes of Iraqi history, the martyr Wissam Sharif al-Musawi, who was born in a family known by its love of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), and raised on the good morals, faith and piety, to be a preacher and Hussayni Radood who was using his voice to revive the matter of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them). He was usually holding Hussayni condolences' Majlis in Basra, then he worked in 2003 in the Office of the Supreme Religious Authority Sayed Ali al-Sistani, then he volunteered to protect government institutions at the beginning of the US occupation of Iraq such as the Hospital of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) in Karbala, and in the year (2014) he joined the department of between the Two Holy Shrines, and because of his leading and fair personality, he used to often contribute to solving societal problems (clan), and therefore he had close relations to the Iraqi tribes elders in the center and south.

He lived in the city of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him); Karbala. And he was a good-hearted man. He was well-known, and everyone who knew him had a smile on his face when he remembers him. He studies in the religious Hawza, and was one of those who adhered to the teachings of his true religion and the commands of the pure imams (peace be upon them). After the Fatwa, he joined the volunteers to fight against the forces of evil; ISIL, to be a field commander in the formations of the fighting squad of al-Abbas (peace be upon him) since the beginning of its establishment. He participated in many battles in which he gave lessons in heroism and sacrifice, until the battle to purify the land of the Sayed Ghareeb area in Balad district (west of the city of Balad) he was targeted by a sniper of the enemies who shot him dead at the time of Adhan Dhohr, after that he chanted slogans to maintain the momentum in frontlines of the battlefield. His corpse stayed on the ground for more than one day because of the ferocity of the battle and the intensity of the lines of fire.

Pride and eternity are made for the people like you! May your memory be glorified as you fought for the sake of the land and honor in the best way, and fought for the sake of God until you gained the honor of martyrdom.
