The position of the companions of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) is great and solemn, as those loyal companions are for all times the symbol of the tender and redemption, they are the pious and righteous, whom Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) described saying: "I do not know companions more loyal and better than my companions, neither do I know a household more honorable and passionate than my household."
Inspired from this, Karbala condolences' processions has specified the eve and day of the sixth of the sacred month of Muharram to recall the supporters of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) and the brave sheikh Habib Ibn Mudhaher Al-Asdi (peace be upon them all), in a Hussayni tradition accustomed since hundred years ago. The lamentations are held, the poems are recited, the chest are beaten and the drums are heard to recall the sacrifice of this loyal and faithful small group who has stood up with the right against the falsehood.
These are the supporters who have given the example of the incomparable courage. In fact it is hard to describe those lions, but we can learn the truth of those personalities from the lips of the enemy. A man who attended At-Taf in Umar Ibn Sa'd's camp was asked: Woe to you! How could you kill the offspring of the Messenger of Allah (Prayers of Allah be upon him and upon his holy Household)?!! He replied: "If you have witnessed what we have you would do what we have done. A small group has rebelled on us, their hands on their swords handles, like fierce lions, crashing the knights in right and left, throwing themselves on death, do not accept neither safety no money, nothing prevent them from death. If we could not kill them slowly, they would kill the entire camp's soldiers, what else could we do?!"
