58 banners expressing the Hussayni grief are hung in the square between the two holy shrines, representing the age of the Master of martyrs (peace be upon him).

Like the age of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), 58 banners of sorrow and grief were hung in the square between the two Holy Shrines, embroidered with expressions of condolence, such as: (Peace be upon you, O master of the martyrs and Ya Qamar [moon of] Bani Hashem) in red color and in a uniform way, and hung on lights' poles on one level, as well as hanging signs of condolences between the banners.
This falls within the preparations of the department of the square between the two holy shrines to receive the visitors in the holy month of Muharram and the declaration of mourning and grief for the martyrdom anniversary of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) in this holy month, and as part of its preparatory plan for this month to commemorate the tragic event of Ashura.
The department also covered the wall surrounding the square between the two holy shrines with black cloth to be in harmony with the manifestation of the mourning and grief in the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them). In addition to its other duties such as the contribution with other departments of the two holy shrines, to facilitate the flow of the movement of visitors and Hussayni processions, as well as the application of the security and special service plan for the first ten days of the month of Muharram.
