The ice factory of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine provides the Hussayni processions and the visitors with more than 20 thousand ice molds during the Ziyarat of Ashura.

This year there was a remarkable rise in temperature during the Ziyarat of Ashura, making the demand of ice increase especially for the owners of the Husseini service processions and visitors in order to cool the water provided to the visitors or to refrigerate their food supplies. This led the ice factory in the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine to increase its production of ice during this period, distributing more than 20 thousand by 2200 molds per day.

The groups benefiting from the ice were the Al-Husseini processions and the watering division of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, which in turn supplies the water fountains spread inside and outside the shrine, as well as distributing it to the service processions on the roads leading to the two holy shrines. It has also provided the al-Abbas's (p) Fighting Squad by other quantities of ice distributed to other outlets.

The distribution was carried out by the factory's cooled vehicles, which are special wheels for this purpose. The plant has harnessed all its energies to meet the needs of visitors and processions alike.
