The technical and engineering staff working in the communications Division in the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine began operating the central systems designed to enumerate the visitors coming to Karbala to perform the Ziyarat Arba'een of Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them), after updating them with new system as well as adding new cameras of high accuracy to cover broader areas to insure the accuracy and objectivity in calculating the number of visitors.
Engineer Feras Abbas Hamza, head of the mentioned division stated: "After the success achieved in the past years, by giving precise and accurate numbers of visitors. This year, we decided to improve our work by covering all roads leading to the holy city of Karbala and used by most of the visitors, such as the roads from Najaf, Hilla, Baghdad, Hussayniyah and al-Hurr."
Explaining: "For this purpose, we have installed additional cameras in the main roads as well as in roads we are covering for the first time this year. All of these cameras are linked to the main counting system in the central control room in the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, which is one of the latest global systems, through which we will get daily data that we collect in form of reports and then announcing them to them media at the end of the Ziyarat Arba'een , as has been the case in the previous years."
On the other hand, the Engineer Feras indicated that another special system to count the visitors was installed at the holy shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him)."
