In order to provide security for the visitors of the Arba'een of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) and prevent any kind of security breach during this holy Ziyarat, the Abbas's (p) fighting squad launched a large operation to inspect and track the terrorist groups near the Western Desert of Karbala province, along al-Razaza lake from the side of Anbar province, with the support of the forces of the Middle Euphrates Operations Command, the Federal Police, and the Karbala police. The operation "Shehab" was carried out in search of places where the terrorist groups might hide.
The Command of the Squad has indicated that the military troops, which include tanks, air defense brigades and three other force brigades, as well as other special forces and special tactical units, conducted a wide-ranging operation to sweep the Western Sahara, which is taken by the terrorist groups as a safe haven.
He added that this inspection and tracing operation comes within the framework of the security measures for the Ziyarat Arba'een of the Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) and to protect the province of Karbala from the western side of Badia.
The large-scale military operation is conducted under the direction of the Joint Operations Command and under the direct supervision of the Middle Euphrates Operations Command.
