More than 3000 service processions provided its services to the visitors of Arba'een in the province of Basra.

The Department of Rituals and Hussayni Processions in the two holy shrines announced that the number of the processions participating to provide services to the visitors of the Arba'een has reached this year 3563 service processions in Basra, which are registered in the database of the Processions' Department, in addition to other processions, Hussayniyat and residential houses that opened their doors to the pilgrims since the first day of the march of the Arba'een, from the farthest point in Basra up to its administrative borders with other provinces. Some of these processions provide also their services along the road taken by the pilgrims up to the province of Karbala, and there are processions that will provide their services in more than one place.

The Department indicated that these processions are scattered along all roads used by the pilgrims within the administrative borders of the province of Basra, especially the areas with a larger number of pilgrims.

Pointing out that the province witness this year an early movement of pilgrims walking towards Karbala, and that the work of the Hussayni service processions was not limited to the free services they provide, but they also had an active role in cooperation with the security and service bodies in the province. And after that all pilgrims leave the province, the processions' owners will join the march, so they can get both honors; the honor of serving the visitors of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), and the honor of walking in the march of Arba'een.

It is noteworthy that a special operations room was formed for this occasion, which included all the service departments and the security and health bodies as well as the processions' representatives, to harness all effort for the success of this season.
