The visitors of Arba'een are still in the holy city of Karbala and the two holy shrines continue to mobilize their service and security staff.

Four day have passes since the Ziyarat Arba'een of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), and many visitors are still present in the holy city of Karbala. Noting that the representative of the supreme religious authority; his eminence Sayed Ahmad al-Safi, has highlighted the problem of the transport during these days, stating: "I would like to refer to the beginning of a situation that is repeated every year, and the concerned parties must seriously consider finding a solution to the problem of transportation. Every Ziyarat season, we renew our call, as the roads leading to Karbala are not in compliance of the huge numbers of visitors."

This statement was part of the second sermon of Friday prayer on Friday 23rd of Safar 1440 AH corresponding to November 2, 2018, which was held in the holy shrine of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), and led by His Eminence Sayed Ahmad al-Safi, who added: "This requires serious thinking and realistic planning to draw entrances and exits to the city. As the main problem is not of busses or transport cars but is a problem of roads. And considering that this city is unique, solution must be found. We renew this demand every year, and I hope that those in responsibility positions to find radical solutions to the subject, as we must provide to the visitor the ease of entry and exit to the city."

On the other hand, the General Secretariat of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has announced in an official stated, the number of the registered visitors according to the electronic counting system in the five main entrances (Baghdad - Karbala, Najaf - Karbala, Babylon - Karbala, Hussaynia - Karbala, and al-Hurr-Karbala.) has reached 15.322.949 visitors from the 7th to the 20th of Safar at midnight in this year 1440 AH.
