The Department of the area between the two holy shrines contributes to cleaning the old city after the end of the Ziyarat Arba'een.

The staff of the Department of the area between the two holy shrines have contributed to cleaning the neighborhoods and alleys of the ancient city of Karbala, especially those near the two holy shrines, by harnessing in an extensive campaign all its efforts to remove the waste left by the visitors and the processions that were concentrated in these areas during the Ziyarat Arba'een.

The Head of the Department; Haj Adnan Ni'mah al-Dha'eef, stated: "This campaign is part of the service plan of the Department for the Ziyarat Arba'een, which did not finish after the end of the Ziyarat, but continued after it, as all our staff have participated in large cleaning campaigns, including the square between the two holy shrines, the roads surrounding it and the roads leading to the two holy shrines, in addition to some alleys in the ancient city."

Indicating: "In record time, we were able to clean the square between the two holy shrines and its surrounding, as the Department is keen to maintain the cleanliness of this area to preserve its sanctity."

It is noteworthy that the Department of the area between the two holy shrines of the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and of al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them), like the rest of the other departments, made extraordinary efforts to provide various services to the pilgrims heading to the Ziyarat of the Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) in the Ziyarat Arba'een, which have beaten the record in terms of the visitors' number.
