The washing of the sanctuary and shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him).

After the conclusion of the Ziyarat Arba'een, the Department of the Sanctuary's Care at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine has washed the shrine and sanctuary of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) and disinfected, treated and perfumed its floors in preparation to cover the floors of the holy shrine with the new carpet.

The head of the Sanctuary's Division; Mr. Zayn al-'Abideen Adnan, stated to Al-Kafeel Network: "The Department's staff have ended yesterday the washing and disinfecting works of the holy shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), which comes within the plan of the Department after the Ziyarat Arba'een, during which the holy shrine witnessed a tremendous momentum of visitors. Therefore, we carry out annually, in such days, the washing and disinfection process of the holy shrine to preserve and treat the marble in order to sustain it."

Adding: "The washing works also includes perfuming the holy shrine, covering its floor with the carpet and then incensing the whole area." Indicating that they chose to work late at night as there is less momentum on that time.
