Black cloth covered all the walls of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine to announce the mourning on the martyrdom anniversary of Imam al-Hassan al-'Askari (peace be upon him). And condolence banners were hung inside the holy shrine in expression of the sorrow in the hearts of believers in this painful occasion for Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).
And within the continuous activities of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine to recall the calamities and injustice suffered by the imams of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), a special program was prepared including a number of events, such as religious lectures, the condolence Majlis held annually in the Hall of Protocol and being ready to welcome the mourners whether coming individually or in form of processions, as well as participating in the unified condolences procession to extend the condolences to Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) in his holy shrine.
It is worth mentioning that Imam al-Hassan al-'Askari (peace be upon him) was martyred in the eighth of the month of Rabi' Awwal in the year 260 AH, and he was only 28 years old, after being poisoned on the orders of al-Mu'tamid al-Abbasi.
