The Shiite Waqf Office unveils the project of writing the Holy Quran by Iraqi calligrapher.

A delegation representing the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine participated in the celebration held by the Shiite Endowment Office on the occasion of its completion of the project of the Holy Quran written by the Iraqi calligrapher Hadi al-Darraji.

The Director of the Center for the Sciences of the Quran, its interpretation and printing in the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine and a member of the delegation, Sheikh Dea' Uddin al-Zubaidi, stated: "We were present in the celebration held by the National Center for Quran Sciences in the Shiite Endowment Office, in celebration of this Quranic achievement. The ceremony was attended by an international committee specialized in the correct writing of The Holy Quran, representatives of the Quranic institutions in the holy shrines of Imam Ali, Imam al-Hussayn, Imam al-Jawad and Imam al-Kadhem, and of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon them), and a number of those interested in the Quranic issue. The celebration included a speech of the head of the Shiite Endowment Office, Sayed. Alaa Al Moussawi, who spoke about the Holy Quran and its status in the biography of the Prophet of Mercy and Ahl al-Bayt (Allah's prayers be upon them), as well as their emphasis on the great reward for memorizing the Holy Quran, reading and teaching it. Stressing that the project of writing the Holy Quran by Iraqi calligrapher was a dream achieved after many years, thanks to extraordinary and continuing efforts of the staff of the National Center for Quran Sciences from readers, auditors and current and former technicians, as well as the administrators of the Shiite Endowment Office starting from the administration of Sayed. Saleh al-Haidari, who initiated the project to the subsequent administrations."
