The Engineering Projects Department installed 57 high quality lighting lamps.

The Electrical Division of the Engineering Projects Department at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine has set up 57 electric lighting Led projector lamps along the walls of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine from the Qibla gate of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) to the gate of Imam Musa al-Kadhem (peace be upon him).

Engineer Ali Hussain Al-Khaffaf, Director of the Electricity Division, said: "The lighting lamps that have been recently installed along the holy shrine's walls are characterized by the following advantages:

1- They are of high quality and good specifications with long life, with a life span of five years.

2 - They are characterized by the power of lighting more than 20 times of ordinary lamps.

3 - They operate directly and immediately upon electricity supply, unlike the normal bulbs that take two or three minutes to glow.

4- They are more economical than ordinary lamps by 70%, as they do not consume much of the electrical energy.

5- They are considered environmentally friendly as they do not contain methane and helium gas, as opposed to regular brands that contain several gases that may cause poisoning when exposed to damage."

Al-Khaffaf indicated: "The height of the columns on which the lamps were erected is 13 meters, and the distance between one column and another is about 25 to 30 meters. The number of lamps varies from one column to another according to the needs of the covered area; some columns carry two lamps and others are carrying six lamps."
