Furnishing the holy sanctuary of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) with a set of luxury carpets

Within the celebration of the auspicious birth anniversary of Lady Zaynab (peace be upon her), the holy sanctuary of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) was covered with a set of luxurious carpets. The staff of the Care Department of the Sanctuary at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine started with the help of a number of other departments to this furnishing works, and finished it on Thursday 3rd of Jumada I 1440H corresponding to January 10, 2019.

According to the official of the mentioned Division; Mr. Zine El Abidine Adnan, these carpets are characterized by the following:

- Number of carpets 750 carpets.

- The measurement of each carpet is 3 m × 2 m.

- Carpet is made in Iran according to measurements of the holy sanctuary.

- The color of the carpet is red, embossed with floral motifs and plant inscriptions in accordance with the standards of Islamic art.

And he added: "We have also covered the area between the gate entrances and the holy sanctuary, which is of 600 m, with red carpet of 3 meters wide and 25 meters long. All these works were preceded by washing and cleaning the holy sanctuary."
