An aid convoy reaches the fighters stationed on the Iraqi-Syrian border.

The al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, represented by the Guidance and Support Committee of the Religious Affairs Department, sent an aid convoy loaded with various logistic materials for the fighters stationed on the Iraqi-Syrian border, specifically in the areas of Tel Asfok, al-Ba'aj, Kairouan, Tal-Qusab and Sinjar.
Sheikh Haider al-'Aredhi, head of the guidance and support committee at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, was present in this campaign and stated to Al-Kafeel Network: "This support tour is a continuation of the previous series of aid campaign of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine and its approach since the inception of the fatwa of the sufficient duty for defense, to provide its support to those who responded to this fatwa. The Guidance and Support Committee has provided volunteers from the Popular Mobilization Forces in the Iraqi-Syrian border and the surrounding areas with the necessary logistical and moral assistance, which is suitable for these cold weather conditions, as well as conveying the greetings and prayers of the supreme religious authority for them, and his recommendations to them to sustain the momentum of the victory achieved against the terrorist ISIL gangs, and work to abort any desperate attempt to destabilize security and stability in these regions. "
He added: "The aid included a variety of food items, as well as blankets, mattresses, clothes and other supplies, as well as some blessing gifts from the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him)."
