The 'Askariyayn Holy Shrine seeks to establish its own museum and the al-Kafeel Museum shows its willingness to contribute in it.

The Al-Kafeel Museum of Treasures and Manuscripts at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine expressed its complete readiness to contribute to the establishment of the museum planned by the holy shrine of Imam al-'Askari and Imam al-Hadi (peace be upon both of them) in Samarra.

After an invitation sent to it, a delegation from the al-Kafeel Museum visited the holy shrine of Imam al-'Askari and Imam al-Hadi (peace be upon both of them), and met with its officials, led by its Secretary General Sheikh Sattar al-Murshedi. The delegation has heard a brief explanation about the project and its purpose, and they had a tour in the proposed location of the museum.

The head of the Department of the al-Kafeel Museum; Mr. Sadeq Lazem, explained: "Within the framework of the integrated work between the holy shrines and in view of the museum's expertise in museum matters, we visited the holy shrine of Imam al-'Askari and Imam al-Hadi (peace be upon both of them) in order to contribute to the development of the first lines for the establishment of its museum that shall be the heritage features of this holy shrine ".

He added: "We have seen the place where the museum is to be built, which will consist of a showroom and store, and we will work together, God willing, to do our best to establish this edifice."

The Secretary-General of the 'Askariyayn holy shrine, Sheikh Sattar al-Murshedi, praised the outstanding role of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine in providing services to the holy shrines, in particular the holy shrine of Imam al-'Askari and Imam al-Hadi (peace be upon both of them) in Samarra. Stating: "Our supreme objective is to establish a museum of this holy shrine, to exhibit the treasures of the holy shrine in general, and the affected parts because of the terrorist attack on the holy sanctuary in particular."
