The Media Committee of the World Cultural Festival of the Martyrdom Spring held its first meeting in the presence of the Chairman of the Media Committee, Sayed. Aqeel Abd al-Hussain Al-Yasiri, and a number of media personalities from the holy shrine of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) to discuss the work that would develop the possibility of communication with all the media and social networking sites for a wider resonance of the festival.
Chairman of the Media Committee for the fifteenth World Cultural Festival of the Martyrdom Spring Sayed. Aqeel Abd al-Hussein Al-Yasiri explained to Al-Kafeel Network, saying: "This meeting was held for the preparation of media plans to promote this festival and broadcast its activities through the various media; TVs, radios, newspapers and websites".
He added: "Among the topics addressed by this meeting is the announcement of the competitions that will be included in this session of the festival; the best book competition about Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) as well as the competition of the Hussayni poems and the research competition, as we are waiting for the deadline date so the competent committee start sorting and evaluating them."
He continued: "The festival ads were published in the holy city of Karbala and its entrances, and all invitations to guests were prepared. We have also coordinated with the media and satellite channels to announce the date of the festival and the broadcast of its activities. All brothers wishing to attend the festival to cover its activities, are most welcome, and we will offer them all help they need -God willing - ".
"The cultural guide for the 14th edition of the Festival, which took place last year, has also been prepared to be presented to all guests, libraries and all interested in this festival," said Yasiri.
For his part, the member of the Media Committee for the 15th World Cultural Festival of the Martyrdom Spring, Mr. Hussein Al-Ne'mah, stated: "This meeting came out with a set of recommendations that we are going to discuss during the coming meetings, in which we hope to shed light on the role of guests who will participate in this festival."
