The al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine holds its annual condolence Majlis commemorating the death anniversary of the immaculate Lady Om al-Baneen (peace be upon her).

The commemoration program prepared by the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine to commemorate the death anniversary of the venerable Lady Om al-Baneen (peace be upon her), included a condolence council that takes place daily from Friday to Sunday, in honor to the great sacrifices made by this noble lady for the sake of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and to show respect to her heroic and educational role and her positions known in the history, as she was the wife of our master Imam Ali Ibn Abi Taleb (peace be upon both of them) and a mother of four of the heroes who were martyrs to support their brother the Master of martyrs Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him).

The council, which was held after the evening prayers, begins by reciting verses from the Holy Quran and a religious lecture delivered by Sheikh Abdullah al-Dujayli that sheds light on some of the noble and lofty contents and values that characterized the personality of Om al-Baneen (peace be upon her). After the end of the lecture, a lamentation [Latm] council was held by Haj Basem al-Karbala'i, chanting poems and elegies about the greatness, status, patience and jihad of this character in the way of Allah by sacrificing her four sons for the sake to support Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him).

It is noteworthy that the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has prepared a condolence program including many activities and events such as religious lectures, and special condolence councils dedicated to commemorate the occasion, in addition to announcing its readiness to receive processions of condolences from inside and outside the holy city of Karbala, which come to extend the condolences to Imam Abi Abdillah al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) on this sad occasion.
