The farms of Khayrat Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, produces the largest tomato fruit in Iraq, by following a modern agricultural system adapted to the crops' conditions, as well as following a nutrition program prepared under the supervision of specialists in this field in harmony with another precautionary and fertilization system prepared by al-Joud Company for Modern Agricultural Technology, which led to these positive results related to the abundance of the product and its protection from the pests throughout the year.

Ali Maz'al, head of the Agricultural and Livestock Affairs Department at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, spoke to the Al-Kafeel Network, saying: "Since their inception, the farms of Khayrat Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) have worked hard relying on their staff who are using the best methods and mechanisms that will develop the agricultural reality in Iraq, and working to apply the latest findings of the world in this area. And thank God and by the blessings of the master Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), we have been able to achieve many results in various crops. And we were able to produce different weights from the fruit of tomatoes ranging from 500 g to almost 1000 g per fruit. "

He added: "We have reached this result through the adoption and implementation of multiple programs, including with regard to production and its availability and the size of the product and its nutritional value, and we have implemented:

  1. Sterilization of soil using pesticides, fertilizers and nutrients, which are products of Al-Joud Company for Modern Agricultural Technology.

2 - The use of pasteurized animal fertilizers.

  1. Good ventilation through air outlets and doors in green houses.
  2. Continuous pruning of leaves and infected fruits.

5 - Not allowing the movement of people between farms to ensure the non-transmission of diseases between plants.

6 - The use of safe therapeutic pesticides periodically through spraying every week.

7 - The use of fertilizers that strengthen plants to bear disease and improve its properties.

  1. Adopting modern and advanced watering and feeding system. "
