The al-'Ameed University hosts a Quranic women's session with the participation of local and international readers

The al-'Ameed University of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine hosted a special Quranic recitation session within the third annual cultural festival of "Rooh al-Nobowah [Spirit of Prophethood]", with the participation of a group of readers from the holy city of Karbala and a number of readers of Quran from the Islamic Republic of Iran and Afghanistan, organized by the al-Kafeel Women Quranic schools at the Center of as-Siddiqa al-Tahirah (peace be upon her) in cooperation with the al-'Ameed Girls School Group.

During this meeting, which witnessed the attendance of the guests of the festival, the readers along with some Quranic young readers recited the Holy Quran in a beautiful way and in a sequential manner. The session also included Islamic stanzas [Muwashshahat] chanting about the Lady Fatima az-Zahra (peace be upon her) on her birth anniversary.

The participants expressed their thanks and appreciation to the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine for establishing such Quranic sessions, for presenting the level of recitation of the holy Quran of the Iraqi woman, in addition to highlighting the position acquired by the Iraqi women in reciting the Holy Quran to the participating countries in the festival. And it was a good opportunity to show a little bit of the women Quranic activities at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine.

It is noteworthy that the Division of the al-Kafeel Quranic Schools at the Center of as-Siddiqa at-Tahira (peace be upon her) seeks to establish the Quranic sessions in the Spirit of Prophethood Festival, to show its activities of organization of many primary and specialized courses and educational sessions in the field of recitation, as well as the larger Quranic projects aiming at the preparation of female readers who excel in the arts of the recitation of the Holy Quran.
