Continuous periodic maintenance of fire alarm systems at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine and its affiliated sites.

The al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine has many of the latest systems installed inside the holy shrine or its expansion and its affiliated sites, such as the fire alarm system, which was subject to a maintenance campaign by the Department of Engineering Maintenance at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine.

In order to identify the work of the Unit of Fire Alarm and its periodic and seasonal maintenance procedures, we met with the unit's official; Engineer Haidar Jawad, who stated: "In accordance with the principle of safety and occupational security, the unit of alarm systems is working exceptionally for the maintenance of fire extinguishing and alarm systems, especially the water pumps whether inside the holy shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) or in its affiliated sites, as it always works on the maintenance of these water pumps to ensure their readiness in any emergency case.

He added: "The number of pumps in these systems is 10 to 13 pumps, and there is a periodic maintenance schedule that is carried out almost every 10 days, as well as the monthly maintenance that is broader and more comprehensive."

Haidar said: "The maintenance work is not limited to the systems located within the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, but there is maintenance work in its affiliated sites, such as:

1. Maqam of the Imam Master of the Order and Time (may Allah hasten his holy reappearance).
2. Carpet stores.
3. Al-Kafeel Institute and radio.
4. Al-Lewaa International Company.
5. Center of as-Siddiqa at-Tahira (peace be upon her).
6. Guest House.
7. Al-Ha'er system.
8. Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital.
9. Al-'Afaf Women Complex.
10. Al-Saqqa' main stores 2".
