The al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine participates in organizing courses for the development of the talents of the martyrs' orphans of the security forces and the popular mobilization.

Since the issuance of the fatwa of the sufficient duty for the Defense, the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine is one of its supporting institutions in various forms and contents, which came in line with the orientations of the supreme religious authority calling for this purpose. Therefore, the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has devoted a great attention and care for the orphans of martyrs of this blessed fatwa, thanks to which Iraq and its people enjoy safety and security, through its participation in organizing a course for the registrants in the project "Adopt a talent", which is a national project for the care of orphans and the development of their talents.

The course, which was jointly organized by the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, the Imam al-Hussayn's (p) holy shrine and the Foundation of the supporters of Fatima az-Zahra (peace be upon her), included intensive courses focusing on how to develop orphans' talents, including courses in sewing art, first aid, family guidance, the art of painting, the art of photography, teaching the correct reading of the Surat Al-Fatihah, etc. These courses came within the national project for the development and support of talents in Iraq.

It is noteworthy that this initiative comes as a continuation of the initiatives offered by the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine for these families, in honor of their sacrifices, within its earnest and aspiring endeavor to raise the cultural level of the orphans, to contribute to their social rehabilitation and to help them overcome some of the psychological problems they might suffer from.
